Raksha Nikhil Khadse, 32, is a Member of Parliament from Raver, Maharashtra. She has won the Lok Sabha (LS) seat for the second consecutive term—2014 and 2019—and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She is daughter-in-law of Eknath Khadse, a seasoned BJP politician from Maharashtra who has held finance and agriculture portfolios in the state assembly in the past. Prior to contesting for the LS seat, she had been a sarpanch and head of Jalgaon zilla parishad. Popular as ‘Tai’ in her constituency mostly because of her social endeavours, her prime focus is woman empowerment, education, road connectivity and solving the water shortage issue prevalent in that part of Maharashtra.
