Abhishek Agarwal serves as a Fund Manager of RCIF Series I with a proven track record of successfully investing in both Startups and Listed Equities space and has combined experience of 12+ years in Indian Financial Market and Start-up Ecosystem.His consistency in delivering commendable performance across two contrasting mandates on personal portfolio i.e. listed equities and start-up investments has earned him the reputation of being an astute stock picker. He has done his graduation from HR College in 2006 and MSc. Finance in 2007 from Lancaster University Management school from United Kingdom. Once he returned, he joined PINC Research as a Research Analyst on Institutional Side. After completing 2 years at the said organization he joined his family run stockbroking firm i.e. Fortune Interfinance ltd. Here he was in a pivotal position to set up entire Mumbai team i.e. office operations, research and Institution desk. He handled a team of 20 people at various division and roles.His extensive knowledge helped him to advice and exchange his views on economy and stocks in various news channels like CNBC Awaaz, CNBC TV18, ET Now, NDTV Profit & Zee News. During 2014, he started his investment journey by taking a token amount from his father as a seed capital and tripled the same. In that period, he ploughed back the profits into his new passion to understand the startup ecosystem by joining various angel networks i.e. Indian Angel Network, Lets Venture, Venture Catalysts where on personal capacity he ended up investing in more than 20+ startups.

Some successful startups he invested are Loginext Solutions (later invested by Paytm for about US$10M), Getmyparking, Wellness Forever, Kwench Lab Solutions, etc. As he developed strong expertise in the said domain, he was invited and later joined as the Board of Directors in several companies to provide them strategic advice for their next phase of growth. He generated average annualized return of +32.7%* in listed equity space over April 2014 – March 2018 whereas +97.4%* return for the period June 2014 – April 2019 in unlisted space.

Currently, he oversees and manages Rockstud Capital’s maiden Hybrid Investment scheme i.e. “Rockstud Capital Investment Fund Series I” where the focus remains to invest in both listed and unlisted equities.
