Vijay Kumar

Vijay Kumar is the Principal Officer at Digit Insurance and the chief company representative at the IRDAI. An industry veteran with over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, Vijay’s role at Digit is to make Digit the first choice to customers through their strategic planning of their product line-up.

Prior to Digit, Vijay has working with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd. At Allianz, Vijay was the man to don many hats as a President, the Senior Vice President and Vice President among others. His majorly contributing in building Motor & EW book to target increased market share in both line of business for company while ensuring reasonable profitability. He headed functions including Motor OD claims, Motor Third Party Claims, Consumer legal cases of all LOBs, Motor underwriting, EW underwriting Automotive and White Goods. In addition to technical functions, he successfully built Automotive Sales and Distribution Channel including OEMs relationship, Oil Companies & NBFC relationships from scratch.
