Sunil Kumar

Sunil is the Chief Technology Officer at Shiprocket, India’s leading e-commerce enablement platform. Driven by the zeal to leverage the power of technology in building scalable product solutions, Sunil is the driving force of the technology department at Shiprocket. Sunil plays an instrumental role in building disruptive tech infrastructure for Shiprocket. He believes that it is imperative to integrate tech solutions while co-creating products with the consumers and further this will bolster the platform’s vision of enabling E-commerce for BHARAT

Sunil’s educational career kicked off by pursuing his schooling in Math, Physics, and Computers from Spring Dale College, and he went on to complete his B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT, Kanpur. An industry veteran, he holds over two decades of exemplary industry experience, including important senior management roles at multiple distinguished organizations, like Oracle, Rediff, Reliance Entertainment, Times Business Solutions, and EazyDiner, among others. Sunil joined Shiprocket in April 2019 after his 2-year-long stint at EazyDiner.

At Shiprocket, Sunil is constantly working on enhancing the tech stack and the product architecture across the length and breadth of the brand. He has successfully scaled the platform and team multifold to be in line with the business and customer needs. Being the strategic force behind Shiprocket’s tech prowess, he is actively involved in holding in-person design discussions with the team to talk about "All-Things-Tech." He believes in building for scalability and hence envisions building Shiprocket as a hyper-scale platform that is disrupting the Indian e-commerce ecosystem. He works on building agile and productive engineering teams as part of his commitment to positioning Shiprocket as the tech leader.
