Saurav Kumar is Founder and CEO, Euler Motors, an EV company focused on accelerating India’s electric mobility revolution. Founded in 2018, Euler Motors is today a front runner in the commercial EV space, building industry leading EV technology from India, for India.
As an individual, Saurav feels driven to make a positive impact in people’s lives with the power of technology. His vision is laser focused, with Euler Motors, to address growing levels of pollution with sustainable mobility.
Saurav leads product development, investments and business strategy at Euler Motors. The company has built India’s most powerful three wheeler cargo vehicle, Euler HiLoad EV and is now
serving some of the biggest ecommerce names such as Flipkart, Bigbasket, Udaan, Zomato and Magenta, amongst others. The company has raised USD 82 million since its inception with GIC Singapore, Blume Ventures, Jetty Ventures and ADB Ventures being leading investors.
The company is recognised worldwide and has secured an international patent at the US Patent and Trademark Office for building India’s first arc reactor liquid cooled battery pack for commercial EVs in India – a development of which has been led by Saurav himself at Euler Motors.
Over the years, Saurav (and Euler Motors) have received much notable recognition; the recent ones being Leading Last Mile Delivery Provider by Delhi Government Top 100 start-ups to watch out for by Forbes Asia and 40Under40 auto trail blazers by BusinessWorld India for Saurav. The Euler HiLoad EV (the company’s first electric cargo three -wheeler) has already been recognized for its innovation and performance as the ‘EV of the year’ by prestigious platforms like Apollo CV Awards.
Saurav hails from a software engineering background. Before Euler Motors, he co-founded Cube26 Software Pvt.Ltd, a mobile based IoT platform which was funded by Tiger Global and Flipkart. The company was later acquired by Paytm in the beginning of 2018.
An alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering and then majoring from Cornell University in Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing, Saurav successfully led many robotics and engineering projects on his own. One of these was a machine learning and computer vision system for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles that was regarded by the Office of Naval Research, U.S.A. After completing his engineering, he worked INRIA in France on the next generation of Driving Assistance Systems, post which he returned to start his venture in India.
