Chetan Maini is the Co-Founder and Chairman at SUN Mobility. He is an entrepreneur and technologist with over 25 years of experience in the industry.
Chetan’s lifelong vision has been to create products and solutions to deepen the adoption of clean and sustainable mobility. Having invented the Reva in 1999, an electric vehicle much ahead of its time, he is globally acknowledged as a pioneer in the electric vehicle space. Chetan has spent over two decades working with electric, hybrid and solar vehicles in USA and India and holds an enviable 30+ global patents. He holds patents in energy management systems for electric vehicles and has presented many technical and keynote papers at coveted platforms globally.
Chetan has also received several accolades including the BBC Top Gear “Man of the Year” award; the Innovation award in Energy and Environment by The Economist in London; ET Auto GABS “Innovator of the Year” Award; Frost & Sullivan India Start-ups - “Visionary Innovation Leadership Award”, and was listed as one of the “Top 50 most influential people in India” to bring about change, by Businessweek magazine.
