Krishnan heads CDFI, a non-profit Centre developing and supporting digital innovations for social impact.Building on bare essentials, he has crafted CDFI’s unique strategy that works with small committed teams and startups to develop and scale impactful innovations across domains. Varied Initiatives include agribusiness platform for farmers, usage of mobiles and analytics in the areas of health, financial inclusion, livelihoods, benefit transfers and social audit.
His Centre is now helping the Government ideate and develop the next generation nation-wide Data Architecture and systems for Self Help Groups.
All of this builds on a tenure in the country’s civil service, during which he received the Presidential Award for Distinguished Service (in the year 2006) as also the Government’s commendation for development of a mobile banking framework for the unbanked (2010).
Krishnan is a computer engineer from College of Engineering, Guindy and postgraduate in management.
