Shirin Mann Sangha Founder & Creative Head, Needledust

Shirin Mann Sangha established and launched ‘Needledust’ in August 2014. Shirin was a boarding school student originally hailing from Chandigarh and went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in International Journalism from Cardiff University, Wales, United Kingdom. Upon returning to India, she started working as a crime journalist with a Delhi NCR-based investigative paper. However, her passion for design eventually led her to pursue the creation of NeedleDust. Shirin has also been an illustrious panellist at prestigious events and conferences such as Simply Festtalks, CBRE, Etsy and the Women Economic Forum where she received the ‘Women of Excellence’ 2019 award. "I have admired my mother wearing juttis since I was a child, and have loved the craft. But the first experiment happened when I was getting married and realized the dearth of beautiful, pop colour juttis, I decided to design my own wedding pair which adorned ghungroos, that is the evolution of NEEDLEDUST." The main goal behind the NEEDLEDUST Jutti is sustaining finery of an heirloom and bringing excellence in designs as well as quality of raw material. And that’s why NEEDLEDUST stands out.
