Bala along with Ashvin, Co-founded Anicut Capital LLP, Investment Manager to 3 SEBI registered Alternate Investment Funds by name Grand Anicut Fund 1, Grand Anicut Fund 2 and Grand Anicut Angel Fund, the first two Structured funds and the latter is an early stage equity fund.
The overall Assets Under Management of these three funds stands at 1400 Crores. The investor mix in the said fund comprises of HNI’s, Insurance Companies, Corporates, Public Institution and Family Offices.
Bala also serves in the Board of a NBFC by name Orange Retail Finance Private Limited, catering to first time two wheeler borrowers in the tier 2 and tier 3 towns across south India.
Bala has over 25 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services industry. He co-founded Metis Family Office Services Private Limited in the year 2010.
Prior to founding Metis, Bala has held credible positions in the senior management of institutions like Citibank, UBS & ICICI bank for almost 17 years.
The last position he held was as Joint General Manager at ICICI Bank in the year 2010. Over the years he has become integral part to the ecosystem of SME finance. Bala is a avid reader of history. Bala is passionate about playing golf whenever time permits
