Karan Mohla is a General Partner at B Capital focused on South and Southeast Asia. Karan has two
decades of global experience and nearly 15 years in technology focused venture investing.
Before joining B Capital, Karan was a Partner and Executive Director at Chiratae Ventures
(formerly IDG Ventures India), where he invested in leading companies, including FirstCry,
Xpressbees, GoodGlam Group, HealthifyMe and CropIn. He has invested in more than 30 companies,
with investments ranging from $500k to $10M in sectors including ecommerce, healthcare,
SaaS/B2B, logistics, ed-tech, agri-tech and gaming. These companies have cumulatively raised
over $1B over their respective lifecycles.
Prior to Chiratae Ventures, Karan worked with QVT Finance LP, a US based hedge fund, and in the
technology banking group at Jefferies & Company in Silicon Valley, where he was part of the
founding team for the India office.
