Anshul is a Partner with PwC India and has over 17 years’ of experience in corporate structuring, M&A, PE and regulatory space. His focus has mainly been in the areas of transaction advisory, regulatory and general corporate advisory, corporate structuring and M&A across various sectors, which encompasses financial and strategic investments, acquisitions, mergers, spin-offs, joint ventures, foreign collaborations and various other types of commercial contracts. He has also been leading the advisory in the space of stamp duty laws and its implications in large M&A and re-structuring transactions.
He has also recently been involved in large bankruptcy / stressed asset acquisition transactions as an advisor to the creditors, resolution professional as well as acquirers. He has led certain large acquisition transactions in the infrastructure, power and textile sector under the current IBC regime in India and regularly advises domestic and foreign clients in acquisition of such companies under financial stress and financial institutions in dealing with stressed assets.
He has also been advising various ministries and government departments in the area of corporate laws, insolvency & bankruptcy code, stamp duty, etc. He has also advised clients in various shareholder & management disputes and have represented them in NCLT and High Courts in matters related to oppression & mismanagement, hostile takeover, squeeze outs, acquisition of assets through IBC, etc.
