Electric two- and three-wheeler manufacturer Zelio E-Mobility has announced plans to expand its retail network across South India. The company plans to add more than 150 new dealers by FY27, with the aim of strengthening its presence in the region and accelerating electric vehicle adoption.

The expansion will focus on five key South Indian markets. Tamil Nadu will be a major priority, with the company targeting around 40 new dealers. Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are each expected to get around 30 new dealerships. In Telangana, where Zelio currently has around 15 dealers, the company plans to build a network of approximately 30 dealerships over the long term.

Zelio E-Mobility currently has a network of more than 400 dealers across over 25 states. With the planned additions, the company expects its overall dealership network to cross 550 outlets by FY27. According to Zelio, a wider retail network will play an important role in the next phase of EV adoption by improving product accessibility, local customer engagement and after-sales support.

Commenting on the expansion, Kunal Arya, Managing Director, Zelio E-Mobility, said that the next phase of electric mobility will be shaped not only by product innovation but also by how effectively companies understand and respond to customers at the local level. He added that South India is an important EV market with increasingly informed customers who are paying greater attention to technology, ownership experience, value and after-sales support.

He further said that Zelio is focused on building stronger relationships with its dealer partners and providing them with the products, capabilities and support required to build long-term customer trust.

The South India expansion follows the opening of Zelio new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Spread across approximately 39,000 sq. ft., the facility will support electric scooter assembly, storage, logistics and other related business operations. It is expected to provide operational support for Zelio’s retail expansion across Tamil Nadu and neighbouring South Indian markets.

Zelio E-Mobility has also reported continued growth in its business operations. The company recorded revenue of ₹313.68 crore in FY2025-26, representing an 81.8% year-on-year increase. Its revenue has registered a CAGR of 121% over the past four years. The company said it has remained profitable since inception.

Following its BSE SME listing in October 2025, through which it raised 78.34 crore, Zelio has been expanding its manufacturing capacity, dealership network and workforce as part of its growth strateg
