Electric motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette has confirmed that its upcoming Shockwave electric motorcycle will be based on the company’s new 100V architecture. The motorcycle is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2027 (Q1 2027). The new architecture is expected to offer improved power delivery, better thermal efficiency and faster charging.
The Shockwave, also known as FUNDURO, is being developed as a lightweight electric motorcycle focused on riding dynamics. Its design concept draws inspiration from classic two-stroke motorcycles.
Ultraviolette has started setting up a production line for the Shockwave at its existing manufacturing facility. The company has also confirmed that the electric motorcycle will be available in both single-seat and dual-seat configurations.
According to Ultraviolette Co-founder and CEO Narayan Subramaniam, the Shockwave and Tesseract have been developed in parallel over the past year. Work on the production line for the Shockwave is already underway.
The adoption of the 100V architecture in the Shockwave follows Ultraviolette earlier announcement that the Tesseract would also use the technology. According to the company, while both motorcycles share the same architecture, they have been developed to offer different riding experiences.
Ultraviolette has not yet revealed the final specifications of the Shockwave. Further details about its features, battery, range and other technical specifications, along with additional launch information, are expected to be announced closer to its Q1 2027 introduction.
