EV charging infrastructure company ThunderPlus has launched a 120kW fast EV charging station at Prasads IMAX Mall in Hyderabad. The launch adds high-capacity EV charging infrastructure at one of the city major consumer destinations.
Located within the mall premises, the station allows EV users to charge their vehicles while engaging in activities such as shopping, dining and entertainment. The facility is also located near key landmarks including the Telangana Secretariat, Hussain Sagar Lake, NTR Gardens, Necklace Road, Lumbini Park and Tank Bund.
According to ThunderPlus, EV charging infrastructure is expanding beyond standalone charging stations to malls and other destination-based locations. Such facilities allow EV users to make use of the time they already spend at these locations for vehicle charging, reducing the need for a separate trip to a charging station.
The Prasads IMAX Mall station has been established through a franchise investment by Kundurthy Pavithra. ThunderPlus described her as the youngest woman investor in its network. According to company Director Raj Kumar Medimi, participation from entrepreneurs and women investors in the EV charging sector is increasing.
ThunderPlus said the 120kW charging station at Prasads IMAX is intended to serve both mall visitors and EV users travelling through the central Hyderabad corridor. The facility is expected to support the growing demand for convenient and accessible EV charging infrastructure in the city.
