Electric vehicle energy infrastructure provider ThunderPlus has announced a strategic partnership with Indofast Energy to develop integrated EV energy hubs across India. These hubs will offer both charging and battery-swapping services at a single location. The rollout will begin in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Delhi NCR, with plans to expand to more than 250 sites nationwide.
Under the collaboration, Indofast Energy will deploy its battery-swapping stations within ThunderPlus’s existing charging network. The co-located model is designed primarily for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and commercial fleet operators, helping reduce vehicle downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Rajeev YSR, Executive Director and CEO of ThunderPlus, said the partnership marks an important step toward building an integrated energy ecosystem for India’s electric mobility sector. Anant Badjatya, CEO of Indofast Energy, highlighted that combining two-minute battery swapping with charging infrastructure will provide users with a more flexible and seamless energy experience.
The initiative reflects a broader industry trend of integrating EV charging and swapping services under one platform to deliver comprehensive and efficient energy solutions for diverse mobility needs.
