SUN Mobility has announced the appointment of Satish Sundaresan as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In this role, he will lead the company global engineering, hardware manufacturing and global sourcing operations. His responsibilities will also include overseeing the production of smart batteries, quick interchange stations and software platforms for domestic and international markets.
Sundaresan brings over 25 years of experience in automotive technology, software and electronics manufacturing. Before joining SUN Mobility, he served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Senior Vice President at Lumax Auto Technologies, where he led electronics manufacturing operations. He has also held key positions at Elektrobit India, Mercedes-Benz and Bosch.
Commenting on his appointment, Sundaresan said his focus would be on ensuring that every battery and battery swapping station reaches the company partners faster, more reliably and at a lower cost across India and global markets. He also highlighted the importance of continuously improving technology to make the company’s battery swapping platform more flexible, cost-effective and ready for future mobility needs.
SUN Mobility provides battery swapping technology for electric vehicles (EVs). The technology allows EV users to replace discharged batteries with fully charged ones, reducing waiting time for charging. Through its smart batteries, quick interchange stations and software platforms, the company aims to make electric mobility more convenient and accessible.
