Statiq has launched a portable electric vehicle (EV) charger aimed at making home and on-the-go charging more accessible. The device offers a 3.3 kW AC output and is compatible with standard 16A three-pin sockets, eliminating the need for dedicated installation.
According to the company, the charger features adjustable current settings ranging from 6A to 16A, allowing it to adapt to different household power capacities. It is priced at ₹14,999 and will be available through the company’s online platforms and e-commerce channels.
The launch comes at a time when home charging access in India is estimated to be limited to around 55%, posing a key challenge for EV users, particularly in urban areas with limited charging infrastructure.
The portable charger is equipped with safety features such as residual current protection and a weather-resistant design, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It also includes a display for real-time charging data and a timer function to support off-peak charging.
Industry experts note that portable charging solutions are gaining traction in markets where fixed charging infrastructure is still evolving. These devices can serve as both primary and backup charging options for EV users.
