Indian power backup and solar energy solutions company Smarten Power Systems has announced its business update for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY2026–27), reporting significant progress across sales, distribution, manufacturing and infrastructure.
During the quarter, the company sold approximately 118,000 units across its product portfolio, including home UPS systems, solar power conditioning units (PCUs), batteries and solar panels. Demand for power backup solutions increased significantly due to extreme summer temperatures and higher electricity consumption across several parts of northern India.
To strengthen its supply chain and inventory management, Smarten commissioned a 5,200 sq. ft. warehouse in Gurugram, Haryana, enhancing its logistics capabilities across North and North-West India. The company also expanded its market presence by onboarding 32 new distributors across nine states, further strengthening its distribution network in North, East, West and South India.
Expanding its clean energy portfolio, Smarten launched the HELIX 1100–1250 series of MPPT-based solar power conditioning units (PCUs) and introduced two new battery models to strengthen its energy storage offerings. These products are expected to support the growing demand for reliable power solutions across renewable energy and EV charging infrastructure applications.
On the manufacturing front, Smarten achieved its highest-ever monthly in-house battery production of approximately 6,600 units in June 2026 at its battery manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The company is also developing a new manufacturing facility that will further enhance its production capacity once operational.
Smarten also expanded its in-house after-sales service capabilities while continuing to operate through its established franchise service centre network, strengthening customer support across its markets.
Commenting on the company operational performance, Rajnish Sharma, Whole Time Director & Chief Executive Officer, Smarten Power Systems, said, "The demand for power backup and solar solutions continues to evolve alongside changing energy consumption patterns and the increasing need for energy resilience. During the quarter, our focus remained on strengthening our manufacturing, distribution and service infrastructure to meet this growing demand. We remain committed to delivering reliable power backup and solar energy solutions across our markets."
The company said it will continue focusing on operational excellence, product innovation, distribution network expansion and customer service enhancement to meet the growing demand for clean energy solutions. With India's EV charging infrastructure expanding rapidly, Smarten's investments in solar power, battery storage and energy management solutions are expected to contribute to the country's evolving electric mobility ecosystem.
