Oben Electric has launched its Valentine’s Day campaign #ItsOkayToLeave, encouraging riders to shift from petrol-powered commuting to cleaner electric mobility. The initiative uses the idea of a breakup to highlight the growing need to move away from pollution-heavy transport in rapidly expanding Indian cities.
The campaign positions electric mobility as a practical response to rising traffic congestion and CO₂ emissions, with two-wheelers remaining a major contributor to urban pollution. Oben Electric highlights its urban-focused electric motorcycle as a solution designed for everyday commuting, lower running costs and a cleaner riding experience.
The campaign is being rolled out across Bengaluru, Delhi and Pune. In Bengaluru, a large 3D outdoor installation contrasts a smoke-emitting petrol bike with an electric motorcycle, prompting commuters to rethink traditional mobility choices.
Through social media storytelling and on-ground engagement activities, including creative messages placed on parked two-wheelers, the company aims to spark conversations around sustainable commuting. Oben Electric said the campaign reflects the growing importance of everyday mobility decisions in shaping cleaner urban environments.
