Mahindra Launches Electric 3W UDO for Last-Mile Travel
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility has launched the UDO electric three-wheeler with a 200 km range and advanced features for last-mile transport.

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited has launched its new electric three-wheeler auto-rickshaw, UDO, at an introductory price of 3,58,999, compared to its standard ex-showroom price of3,84,299. The company said the name “UDO” is inspired by the Hindi word meaning “to fly,” and the vehicle features an airplane-inspired design aesthetic.

The electric auto-rickshaw is built on a monocoque structure and offers a real-world driving range of 200 kilometers. It is powered by an IP67-rated 11.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, with a motor delivering 10 kW of peak power and 52 Nm of torque. The vehicle can reach a top speed of 55 km/h in Race mode.

For comfort and design, the UDO features a pilot-style driver seat that is approximately 20 percent thicker than those in competing models. It also offers enhanced passenger comfort with additional legroom and headroom, along with independent rear suspension and a dual fork front suspension system.

The vehicle includes three driving modes Range, Ride, and Race—allowing drivers to prioritize efficiency or performance. Additional features include reverse throttle, regenerative braking, hill hold assist, and a creep function for easier maneuvering in traffic.

Mahindra is offering a warranty of 150,000 kilometers or six years, whichever comes first, along with free servicing up to 100,000 kilometers. Buyers will also receive benefits under the UDAY NXT scheme, including 20 lakh accidental insurance coverage and financial counseling services.

Suman Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited, said the launch represents an important step toward improving customer lives through the electrification of last-mile transportation. The vehicle is being manufactured at Mahindra’s Zaheerabad plant, which features automated battery assembly and robotized production lines.
