Kia India Extends Carens Clavis EV Battery Warranty to 15 Years
Kia India has introduced a 15-year, unlimited-kilometre high-voltage battery warranty for first private owners of the Carens Clavis EV.

Kia India has extended the high-voltage battery warranty for the Carens Clavis EV to 15 years with unlimited kilometres for first private owners. The new warranty will apply to Carens Clavis EV units retailed on or after August 1, 2026. The company said the initiative is aimed at making electric mobility more reliable and convenient for customers.

Under the updated warranty terms, commercial and fleet operators, along with secondary owners, will continue to receive the standard high-voltage battery warranty of eight years or 1,60,000 kilometres, whichever comes earlier. Existing private owners who purchased the Carens Clavis EV before August 1, 2026, can also upgrade their factory warranty from eight years/1,60,000 kilometres to the 15-year/unlimited-kilometre plan.

Customers opting for the upgrade will need to pay a one-time administrative fee of ₹3,400. The upgrade will be subject to vehicle evaluation and the terms specified by the company. Kia said the new battery warranty will complement its existing Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme.

Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said the company is focused on making electric mobility more accessible, dependable and rewarding for customers. He added that the lifetime high-voltage battery warranty for the Carens Clavis EV reflects Kia’s confidence in the quality and durability of its battery technology.
