Envalior to Launch EV Centre of Excellence in India

Engineering materials company Envalior India Pvt. Ltd. has announced that it will inaugurate an Electric Vehicle (EV) Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Pune on August 5 under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The centre aims to support skill development and prepare a skilled workforce for India's growing electric mobility sector.

The Centre of Excellence has been established at Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Polytechnic in Pimpri-Chinchwad and will be implemented by BroadArks Foundation. According to the company, the facility will provide industry-aligned training in electric vehicle technologies.

Envalior said the centre will train around 250 students annually through the Level 4 Certificate in EV Service, Safety & Maintenance and the Level 5 Advanced Certificate in EV Diagnostics & Systems. The programmes are aligned with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) and are supported by CII industry certification.

The courses are designed for ITI and polytechnic students from mechanical, electrical, electronics, mechatronics, computer science and related disciplines. The curriculum combines classroom learning with hands-on laboratory training in EV architecture, battery systems, charging infrastructure, diagnostics, workshop safety and maintenance practices.

Commenting on the initiative, Nileshkumar Kukalyekar, Business Director – South Asia, Middle East & Africa, Envalior, said the Centre of Excellence reflects the company's commitment to supporting India's transition to electric mobility. He added that the centre will serve as a long-term platform for strengthening EV education by enhancing laboratory infrastructure, trainer development and industry-academia collaboration.
