Commercial EV platform BLive has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors to deploy up to 1,000 electric mini trucks across India. The partnership will begin with the induction of the first batch of Tata Ace Pro EVs into enterprise logistics operations. The companies aim to accelerate electric cargo mobility and increase the adoption of EVs in the logistics sector.
The deployment will be carried out in phases through BLive PRIME, a franchise-owned and company-operated fleet model. Under this model, entrepreneurs can invest in electric cargo vehicles with an initial investment of around Rs 45 lakh. Franchise partners will own the vehicles and earn through fleet rentals, while BLive will manage vehicle deployment, customer demand, charging integration, maintenance and day-to-day operations.
Sandeep Mukherjee, Founder and CEO of BLive, said the plan to deploy more than 1,000 Tata Ace EVs reflects the company’s ambition to scale its operations and strengthen its position in India’s cargo EV segment. Pinaki Haldar, Vice President and Business Head – SCVPU at Tata Motors, said the company is pleased to partner with BLive as it expands electric cargo mobility solutions across the country.
BLive plans to deploy the electric fleet across e-commerce, quick commerce, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, warehousing, third-party logistics and manufacturing sectors. According to the company, the partnership is expected to accelerate the adoption of electric mini trucks across a range of commercial and logistics applications.
