EV rental and mobility-tech startup Bijliride has announced the launch of its B2C electric two-wheeler rental services in Delhi, marking a key milestone in its plan to build shared, electric-first mobility solutions for urban commuters across India.
The Delhi rollout will initially cover high-mobility areas across South, Central, West, and East Delhi, selected for strong commuter demand, good public transport connectivity, and high short-distance travel needs. The first confirmed pickup and drop location is Lado Sarai in South Delhi, with several additional hubs set to be introduced in the coming months.
Bijliride has chosen Delhi as its first B2C market due to the city’s high two-wheeler usage, supportive EV ecosystem, and the growing need for cleaner mobility options amid rising pollution and traffic congestion. The city also has a large population of gig workers, students, and young professionals who prefer flexible rental access over the cost and responsibility of owning a vehicle.
“Delhi represents both a challenge and an opportunity for electric mobility,” said Shivam Sisodiya, CEO and Co-Founder of Bijliride. “With increasing congestion, pollution, and vehicle ownership costs, there is a clear need for shared, affordable, and clean commuting solutions. Our B2C launch in Delhi is aimed at giving everyday commuters easy access to electric two-wheelers without the burden of ownership.”
In the initial phase, Bijliride will deploy 150–200 newly procured electric two-wheelers dedicated exclusively to the Delhi market. The fleet has been designed using operational learnings from the company’s Hyderabad operations, with a focus on range reliability, rider comfort, battery performance, and minimal downtime to ensure a dependable daily commute.
All bookings and payments will be managed through the Bijliride mobile application, available on the Google Play Store, offering a fully app-based and seamless user experience. Customers will have access to weekly and monthly rental plans, along with battery support and swapping assistance, and 24x7 roadside and breakdown support.
Indicative pricing for electric two-wheelers on a battery-swapping model will start at around ₹220 per day, while monthly rental plans are expected to remain significantly more affordable than the overall cost of owning a two-wheeler.
Through this launch, Bijliride aims to make electric mobility more accessible, affordable, and practical for daily urban travel, while contributing to cleaner air and reduced congestion in India’s cities.
