Design and engineering-led electric mobility company BGauss has launched its new electric scooter Oowah in India. The company has introduced it as India’s first EV Pop scooter range, designed specifically for the younger generation and first-time electric vehicle buyers. The Oowah combines bold and expressive styling with practical features for everyday urban commuting.
The Oowah comes with a 3.0 kWh CAN-enabled removable Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, offering an ARAI-certified range of 145 km. The removable battery allows users without dedicated home EV charging facilities to conveniently charge the battery indoors. The scooter is available in four colours — Emerald Shadow, Jamun Punch, Zesty Red and Tangy Toma.
For everyday convenience, the Oowah features reverse assist, a distance-to-empty indicator, side stand sensor and USB charging. It also gets full LED lighting for improved visibility and spacious under-seat storage for daily essentials. These features are aimed at making electric mobility more convenient and user-friendly for urban riders.
Commenting on the launch, Hemant Kabra, Founder, BGauss, said Indian two-wheeler buyers are changing rapidly, with Gen Z looking for products that are expressive, contemporary and enjoyable to own. He said the Oowah combines bold design with reliable electric mobility, offering a product that reflects individuality while delivering everyday practicality.
According to BGauss, India electric two-wheeler market is moving beyond early adopters towards mainstream consumers. Electric two-wheeler sales in the country crossed 1.11 million units in the first seven months of 2026, while monthly EV two-wheeler penetration crossed 11% for the first time in July 2026. BGauss expects the Oowah to address this emerging demand by combining distinctive design and self-expression with range, reliability and everyday usability.
