Electric two-wheeler company BGauss has launched its new premium lifestyle electric scooter, the C12 MaxR, in the Indian market. According to the company, the new scooter has been designed keeping the everyday needs of customers in mind. It focuses on range, premium design, smart features, increased storage and new technology.
At the launch, BGauss Founder Hemant Kabra said that two-wheelers are an important part of people’s daily lives. Whether it is commuting to the office, dropping children at school, going to the gym, shopping or meeting someone, two-wheelers play a meaningful role in everyday life. Therefore, the company’s focus is not just on product engineering but on “meaningful engineering”, aimed at making people’s lives easier through technology.
New Products for Different Customer Segments
Over the past few years, BGauss has introduced several electric scooters targeting different customer needs. In 2023, the company introduced the C12 as a family scooter. This was followed by the RUV, a utility scooter, in 2024, and the UVA, targeted at young riders, in 2025. Now, in 2026, BGauss has entered the lifestyle electric scooter segment with the C12 MaxR.
According to Hemant Kabra, the company journey is not just about product development but also about continuously learning and improving. Every vehicle, customer, service interaction, kilometre and manufacturing challenge has taught the company something new. With this approach, the company continues to ask itself one simple question: “What can the next vehicle do better?”
C12 MaxR Built on New WSA Platform
The C12 MaxR has been developed on BGauss’ new WSA platform. According to BGauss, the platform is flexible and adaptable and can be used with different battery, motor and wheel configurations.
The platform can support both hub motors and side-mounted motors. It can accommodate removable batteries ranging from 2 kWh to 3 kWh, as well as fixed batteries ranging from 3.5 kWh to 4.5 kWh. It can also support different wheel sizes, including 10-inch, 12-inch and 14-inch wheels.
According to the company, the WSA platform is manufactured using high-precision robotic processes to ensure better consistency and reliability. The scooter’s chassis uses high-tensile micro-alloy material, which the company says has been designed for a life of more than 1.5 lakh km. The chassis also gets a CED coating, which, according to BGauss, can help provide a product life of more than 10 years.
HyperZen Motor Technology
With the C12 MaxR, BGauss has also introduced its new HyperZen in-wheel motor platform technology. According to the company, the motor is not just a source of power but also plays an important role in determining the vehicle’s performance and character.
The HyperZen platform includes different motor options — HyperZen 3000, HyperZen 4000, HyperZen 6000 and HyperZen 8000 Watt. These motors offer speed capabilities ranging from 60 kmph to 100 kmph, according to the company. It is a 4-in-1 motor platform integrating the motor, gear transmission, brake system and MCU.
According to BGauss, the gear transmission eliminates the need for a chain or belt, helping reduce energy losses and maintenance requirements. The built-in MCU also helps simplify the wiring architecture and improve efficiency.
3.8 kWh Battery and 178 km Range
The C12 MaxR gets a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion LFP battery. The company says the battery has been designed for a life of more than 8 years and up to 1.5 lakh km.
The battery pack is IP67-rated and uses around 6 kg of aluminium, which helps with thermal management. The battery also comes with a smart PMS featuring more than 110 safety features, according to the company.
With the 3.8 kWh battery, the C12 MaxR offers a claimed IDC range of 178 km. The battery has been positioned under the footboard, allowing the company to create a more useful packaging architecture and maximise available space.
Portable Charger and Fast Charging Support
The C12 MaxR comes with a 750W portable charger. According to BGauss, the lightweight charger is easy to carry and can be used with a standard 5A socket.
The scooter also supports public fast charging. The company claims that around 30 km of additional range can be added in approximately 20 minutes through fast charging.
The battery and range have been designed to give riders greater confidence for their daily commute and additional trips without constantly worrying about the range indicator.
12-Inch Alloy Wheels and Suspension Setup
The electric scooter gets 12-inch alloy wheels, designed to complement its styling and road presence. It also features disc brakes. The company has worked on the suspension setup keeping India’s varied road conditions in mind.
According to BGauss, its team collected road data to improve the scooter’s suspension and riding comfort. The company says the setup is aimed at reducing vibrations reaching the rider’s hands during riding.
5-Inch TFT Display with 17+ Features
The C12 MaxR is equipped with a 5-inch TFT display with an integrated VCU. According to the company, the display has been designed to be simple and easy to use while offering several smart features.
It comes with more than 17 features, including Bluetooth connectivity, Auto Day and Night Mode, Classic and Float themes, document storage, and ride and charging statistics. The scooter also gets a Secure Lock feature, designed to enhance rider convenience and security.
Lifestyle Design with Crystal Lamp
The design is one of the key highlights of the C12 MaxR. According to BGauss, special attention has been given to giving the scooter a premium, elegant and attractive appearance.
It features a Crystal Lamp with three crystal lines. The company says the lamp uses a white projector light that is 50% wider and sharper than before.
The design and positioning of the three crystal lines are intended to serve as the scooter’s signature identity, making it easily recognisable on the road.
Six Storage Pockets and ‘Life Easy’ Concept
Storage has also been given special importance in the C12 MaxR. According to the company, scooter storage has become an important part of everyday lifestyle rather than simply a utility feature.
The scooter comes with six storage pockets — four at the rear and two at the front — allowing riders to organise and carry everyday items.
The boot also features a Smart Opening Feature. The company refers to its approach to storage as “Life Easy”, highlighting its objective of making everyday life more convenient for riders.
Seat and Riding Comfort
The scooter seat has been designed to comfortably accommodate two people. According to BGauss, the seat is not only designed for comfort but also complements the scooter’s premium design.
The company believes that every vehicle should have its own identity, and this philosophy has been reflected in the design of the C12 MaxR.
C12 MaxR Price
BGauss has introduced the C12 MaxR at an ex-showroom price of ₹1,59,000. After subsidy, the price stands at ₹1,54,990, according to the company. For the festive season, BGauss is offering an introductory price of ₹1,45,990.The C12 MaxR is available in four colour options.

BGauss has announced a 1,00,000-km warranty on the battery of the C12 MaxR.According to the company, this warranty is valued at around ₹6,000 and is being offered as part of the introductory offer.
With the launch of the C12 MaxR, BGauss has highlighted its focus on developing products around real customer needs rather than simply adding more features.
The new electric scooter combines the WSA platform, HyperZen motor technology, 3.8 kWh LFP battery, claimed 178-km IDC range, Crystal Lamp, six storage pockets, smart TFT display and 1 lakh-km battery warranty, positioning the C12 MaxR as a premium lifestyle electric scooter for the Indian market.
