Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy has announced that its popular electric scooter, Rizta, has crossed the 3 lakh unit sales milestone within two years of its launch. The company introduced the model in April 2024. According to Ather, Rizta achieved its first 1 lakh unit sales in just 11 months, while cumulative sales reached 2 lakh units by December 2025. The company then added another 1 lakh unit sales over the following five months.
Ather stated that Rizta accounted for 76 percent of its total sales portfolio in FY2026, making it the company’s highest-selling model. Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, said the scooter has helped the brand strengthen its leadership position in South India while also significantly expanding its market presence in central and western regions of the country.
The Rizta electric scooter comes equipped with 56 litres of total storage capacity along with safety features such as skid control technology. According to vehicle registration data, Ather’s market share in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha increased from 4.1 percent in Q1 FY2025 to 17.3 percent by Q4 FY2026. The company also recorded a threefold growth in market share across northern states including Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
