Born on 25th June 1946, Mr. Anand Rathi had his upbringing and education in Jodhpur. He is a gold medalist Chartered Accountant of 1966 and has experience of more than 55 years. Mr. Anand Rathi, is presently the Chairman of Anand Rathi Group (ARG). Anand Rathi is a leading financial services company in India, with all India presence. Founded in 1994, Anand Rathi has grown to become one of India's leading financial services companies offering a range of services ranging from Investment services across Asset classes to Private Wealth, Institutional Equities, Investment Banking, Insurance Broking and NBFC. Mr. Rathi was President of the Bombay Stock Exchange for 2 years from April 1999 to 2001. He played a key role in setting up of online trading system in BSE, Trade Guarantee Fund and Central Depository Services Ltd. BSE had the honour of hosting President Bill Clinton of USA, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and many other dignitaries during his tenure as President. Before establishing his own company, Mr. Rathi was Senior President Indian Rayon & Industries (Aditya Birla Group) and had set up Birla Global Finance and Birla Mutual Fund, financial services business of Aditya Birla Group. He was a member of the Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during 1985-1991. He is member of managing committee of IMC. He has been a regular speaker on various platforms. He is associated with various Social and Philanthropic organizations. He is Chairman of Brahma Savitri Ved Vidyapeeth, Pushkar, a school teaching Yajurveda to around 125 students. He is associated with the protection and development of Desi cows and involved in development of Panchgavya medicines based on cow urine and other cow products.
