Adith Podar is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor, blending extensive experience in private equity with a deep understanding of business operations. As the Founding Partner at Gemba Capital (www.gembacapital.in), established in 2018, Adith focuses on seed investments in Indian startups, with particular interest in Fintech, SaaS, and Deep Tech. His prior role at Motilal Oswal Private Equity Fund (MOPE) in Mumbai saw him involved in every stage of the investment process, from deal sourcing and due diligence to negotiation, execution, and exit. Adith's expertise extends to his role as a board observer or representative for prominent companies such as Magicrete Building Solutions, Minda Industries Ltd, Glass Wall Systems, and Dixon Technologies, where he played a key role in the successful exits of Dixon Technologies and Minda Industries. Before his stint at MOPE, Adith gained valuable experience at a boutique investment bank for 18 months. He also founded 'Crepeteria' (www.crepeteria.in), a chain of Quick Service Restaurants operating in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Pune, where he managed all aspects of the business including franchise development, operations, and supply chain management. Adith began his career with ICICI Bank, where he served as a product manager in the International Private Banking division, assisting private equity funds with fundraising from ICICI Bank's global network. Outside of his professional endeavours, Adith is a foodie, amateur photographer, and enjoys travelling, music, and movies.
