R. Vivekanand (Vivek), is President of ‘BFSI Products & Platforms’, a strategic business unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), focused on Products and Platforms for the BFSI industry, delivered in a SaaS-first model. Vivek holds additional responsibility for Quartz, a startup incubated by TCS leveraging decentralised smart ledgers and Blockchain technology.
He represents TCS as an Executive member on the Board of the International Securities Services Association (ISSA), headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, a leading Industry body for the Capital Markets industry.

In the course of his 29-year career with TCS, Vivek has held various roles that helped shape TCS’ BFSI products business under the TCS BaNCS brand, and steered mission critical implementations in over 30 countries. In the process, he has helped establish TCS as one of the global leaders in the Capital Markets space, specifically in Market Infrastructure,Trading technology and Asset servicing.

An early adopter of different technologies like Object Technology at the beginning of his career, and now Distributed Ledger Technology, Vivek is a technophile, and a Senior Member of the IEEE.He is a regular speaker in Industry and Tech forums, and podcasts.

Vivek holds an M.S, in Electrical Engineering&Information systems from Clemson University, USA. A former University cricketer in India, who also led his High School cricket team, he is an avid sports fan, traveler, photographer and blogger. Vivek lives in Chennai in India, with his wife and two daughters.
