Monika Shrivastava is a passionate advocate for sustainability, currently leading the
sustainability division at JSW Cement, where she spearheads initiatives and oversees ESG
disclosures. With over 16 years of extensive experience in sustainability, her expertise spans
Climate Action, Circular Economy, Water Management, and Biodiversity Conservation. She has also
contributed significantly to social sustainability, focusing on human rights, supply chain
integrity, and stakeholder engagement.
Her academic background includes a Master's degree in Natural Resource Management from TERI
University. Prior to joining JSW Cement, she held key roles at Holcim and ACC Limited for over
14 years. At Holcim's Switzerland office, she collaborated with WBCSD and IUCN on biodiversity
projects and was selected for the WBCSD’s Future Leaders Team in 2012. She has also briefly
contributed to conservation efforts at BNHS in the Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary, Delhi.
Her dedication and leadership were recognized with the 'Best Team Lead' award at the CII-ITC
Sustainability Awards 2022, underscoring her impactful contributions to sustainable development.
