Uttam Malani is the Executive Director at Centuary Fibre Plate Pvt. Ltd., the company which operates the brand Centuary Mattress, which is India’s leading mattress brand popularly known as India’s sleep specialist. In his role, Uttam is responsible for the company’s overall strategic roadmap and operations.
A graduate from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, Uttam Malani commenced his career as a 'Supply Chain Consultant' at Capgemini, Atlanta before moving to India to join the family business. He joined Centuary in 2007 and took over the mantle as Executive Director in 2013. Uttam has played an instrumental role in the evolution of the brand; its products and its marketing strategy over the last decade. Aged 37,Uttam has leveraged his expertise and futuristic thinking to lead Centuary to the distinct milestone of becoming the largest exporter of mattresses & mattress components such as rubberized coir with a footprint across the highly quality-conscious European market.
His vision has led to the creation and success of the company’s Cenflex brand of polyurethane foams under the Shree Malani Group- not only leveraging the strong retail network of Centuary, but also creating a new B2B channel of sales to the automobile, footwear, furniture, and packaging industries; thus capturing pole position in otherwise cluttered and unorganized PU foam segment.
He has also spearheaded Centuary’s foray into the online segment; while continuing to expand the offline retail footprint of the brand through it’s distinct MBO & EBO formats.
Married with 2 children, Uttam is an excellent public speaker; and enjoys meeting new people and traveling to new places during his free time.
