Ruchir is the Co-Founder and CEO of CollegeDekho which is India’s largest higher education ecosystem. The company is connecting students to colleges and universities from across geographies with the latest information on admissions, entrance tests, infrastructure, courses, and careers.

Born in a small town in Uttar Pradesh called Meerut, Ruchir always felt destined to do bigger and better things in life. He was a brilliant student who not only excelled in academics but regularly engaged in sports and co-curricular activities. Upon completion of school, Ruchir joined Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur in 1978 where he pursued BTech in Mechanical Engineering.

Once graduated, Ruchir began his professional career at Birlasoft Limited, IBM and CSC Information Technology Services. He also pursued his MBA in Information Technology and Finance from the Indian School of Business before joining TechM. In 2007, Ruchir joined HT Media where he was heading Sales Operations and Investment for their Digital Business. It was here that Ruchir initiated HTCampus.com which was a huge success, resulting in the new venture breaking even in its second year.

In 2015, Ruchir began CollegeDekho with Saurabh Jain and Rohit Saha who were friends from his engineering days, with a vision to build a globally trusted students guidance ecosystem. Ruchir has led the company to become the largest and most trusted in its segment. Under his tutelage, CollegeDekho has counselled over 85 Lakh students while ensuring admissions for more than 1.30 Lakh students to date. The company has also improved upon their existing offerings as well as introduced newer services that have always prioritised support and convenience for the students.
