Ankit Kedia is the Founder of Capital-A, a venture fund for seed to early-stage meaningful start-ups.The company backs startups that are solving real world problems and have a solid vision for scale and profitability.During his entrepreneurial journey, Ankit grew to love investing in people and relationships – a value that translated into his vision for Capital A. Ankit is a passionate angel investor and Capital-A is the formalization of this very passion, into something bigger and meaningful.
Ankit a second-gen entrepreneur who took his family business Manjushree Technopack to a leadership position in the plastic packaging industry across the South Asia region. He started as a trainee on the shopfloor of his family business in 2006, where he was given a room along with the other plant personnel and asked to learn about the manufacturing process, products and most importantly people. He soon realized that while his surname came with an entitlement, there was no shortcut other than to learn along.
With a penchant for institutional marketing and a credit of designing the Key Account Management program, Ankit has been instrumental in the 5x growth of revenues and EBIDTA at Manjushree, where he devoted 15 strong years.He was also instrumental in raising private equity capital from Kedaara Capital and helped in the acquisition of two rival companies, before divesting controlling stake to Advent International in 2018.
Ankit also founded Caremont – a healthcare startup that distributes tech-enabled medical devices and consumables.Caremont is a fast-growing player in the medical device industry as authorized channel partners for world renowned brands like Halyard Health, Avanos, Kimberley Clark, Sectra Medical, Olberon and more.
Ankit is a Member of The Board Of Advisors at RoaDo. He has an MBA in Operations, Marketing, International Markets, and Economics from the S P Jain Institute of Management and Research. He completed Bachelors of Business Administration in Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, and Food Marketing from Western Michigan University – Haworth College of Business. Ankit completed his graduation from Christ University, Bangalore.
