Amit joined Catamaran in 2020 and leads investments across the firm. He has over 18 years of experience in India and the US across private equity, M&A, and investment banking.

Before joining Catamaran, Amit worked at Investcorp Group, managing the existing portfolio and originating and evaluating new investment opportunities. Previously he was with WestBridge Capital Partners and was one of the early members of the private equity team at Premji Invest. Amit started his career in investment banking with the US offices of Wachovia Securities and completed stints with Thomas Weisel Partners and BlackRock.
Amit holds a master’s degree in management science and engineering from Stanford University and a joint bachelor's / master’s degree in engineering from IIT Mumbai.
