Amit Jain, an alumnus of IIT Delhi, is the Co-Founder and CEO of CarDekho Group, a prominent Autotech company in India that has achieved unicorn status with a valuation of $1.2 billion in 2021. Prior to starting his entrepreneurial journey, he worked as a Software Engineer for a year at TCS and then spent almost seven years at a US-based multinational firm called Trilogy. In 2007, Amit co-foundedGirnarSoft, a technology venture along with his brother Anurag Jain. His love for cars led him to attend Auto Expo in 2008, where he was disappointed by the limited product information available. This experience inspired him to establish the CarDekho Group, which has evolved into a conglomerate of thriving companies in various verticals.

Today named among India’s leading entrepreneurs, Amit started the journey with his brother Anurag Jain from a small makeshift office at their home garage in Jaipur. He envisioned leveraging innovation and technology to transform the customer experience and metamorphosed CarDekho Group into a unicorn within less than 15 years of its inception. The organization today employs 5500+ dedicated professionals and boasts a strong presence across India and Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

Amit's establishment of BikeDekho, a platform for two-wheelers, was a significant milestone in CarDekho's journey. The subsequent acquisitions of ZigWheels and PowerDrift further strengthened their position and paved the way for the company to become India's largest Autotech network. Today, the network comprises several well-known brands, including CarDekho, BikeDekho, ZigWheels, and PowerDrift. Amit, not limiting his entrepreneurial success to the Autotech space, launched India’s largest B2B2C insurtech company InsuranceDekho & India’s largest used car lending Fintech platform Rupyy and Edutech portal – CollegeDekho. His vision and hard work brought a new revolution in the Autotech space. Today, CarDekho Group has emerged as the most trusted and credible house of brands with nearly 62 MN active users per month.

A titan in the auto industry, Amit was one of the Sharks on the investors’ panel for Season 2 of one of the most popular competitive shows, Shark Tank India. He promoted cause-oriented and fundamentally strong businesses at the show while mentoring budding entrepreneurs. Operating from a garage to leading a unicorn startup, Amit inspires millions in the country. Going ahead, he wants to promote the culture of entrepreneurship in youth, especially in tier-2 cities, to build the next generation of leaders contributing to India's economic resilience backed by technology and innovation.

In addition to his various roles, Amit is also committed to promoting a more sustainable future. He has made investments in clean energy projects to neutralize his family's carbon footprint. Furthermore, under Amit's leadership, the CarDekho Group has become the 1st Unicorn from India that is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The company has enrolled in Climate Neutral Now (CNN), a program established by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
